Java program to convert Fahrenheit into Celsius
Java program to convert Fahrenheit into Celsius
In this tutorial, we will discuss the concept of the Java program to convert Fahrenheit into Celsius
In this post, we will learn how to write a program to convert Fahrenheit into Celsius using the scientific equations in Java programming language with an Example program.
Temperature and conversion
Generally, We have known three types of temperature units Fahrenheit, Celsius, and Kelvin. In this article, we are discussing how to convert temperature units Fahrenheit into Celsius. Fahrenheit and Celsius are the measuring units in degrees as 0F and 0C respectively.
scientific equation Celsius = (Fahrenheit-32)*9/5
Program to convert Fahrenheit to Celsius
Convert Fahrenheit to Celsius
In this program, the user declares and initializes a double variable Fahrenheit as 212.0. It will be converted into Celsius, using the scientific equation in the Java programming language.
Program 1
class Con_Temperature{ public static void main(String args[]){ double fahrenheit=212.0; double celsius=((5*(fahrenheit-32.0))/9.0); System.out.println(fahrenheit+" degree Fahrenheit is =" +celsius+ " Celsius"); } }
When the above code is executed, it produces the following result
212.0 degree Fahrenheit is =100.0 Celsius
Convert Fahrenheit to Celsius – Entered by user
In this program, the user declares the variable as Double, then the user is asked to enter a double value to Fahrenheit. The entered value will be converted into Celsius, using the scientific equation in the Java programming language.
Program 2
import java.util.Scanner; class Con_Temp_Input{ public static void main(String args[]){ Scanner temp=new Scanner(System.in); System.out.println("Enter a degree in Fahrenheit: "); double fahrenheit=temp.nextDouble(); double celsius=((5*(fahrenheit-32.0))/9.0); System.out.println(fahrenheit+" degree Fahrenheit is =" +celsius+ " Celsius"); } }
When the above code is executed, it produces the following result
Enter a degree in Fahrenheit: 32.0 32.0 degree Fahrenheit is =0.0 Celsius
