function to Convert Celsius into Fahrenheit in C language
function to Convert Celsius into Fahrenheit in C language
In this tutorial, we will discuss the concept of the function to Convert Celsius into Fahrenheit in C language
In this post, we will learn how to write a program to convert Celsius into Fahrenheit using the scientific equations in C programming language with an Example program.
Temperature and conversion
Generally, We have known three types of temperature units Fahrenheit, Celsius, and Kelvin. In this article, we are discussing how to convert temperature units Fahrenheit into Celsius. Fahrenheit and Celsius are the measuring units in degrees as 0F and 0C respectively.
scientific equation Fahrenheit= Celsius*9/5+32
Code to Celsius into Fahrenheit
Convert Celsius into Fahrenheit
In this program, the user declares a double variable as a parameter for Celsius in the user-defined function. When the user calls the function and the Celsius value passes to the function as an argument.
Finally, the Fahrenheit value displays on the screen using the scientific equations in C programming language.
Program 1
// C program to convert celsius into fahrenheit using function //Entered by user #include <stdio.h> float convertCelsToFahr(float c) { return ((c*9.0/5.0)+32.0); } int main() { float fahrenheit=convertCelsToFahr(0.00); float fahrenheit1=convertCelsToFahr(5.00); float fahrenheit2=convertCelsToFahr(50.00); float fahrenheit3=convertCelsToFahr(55.00); float fahrenheit4=convertCelsToFahr(100.00); printf("Tempareture in fahrenheit:\n"); printf("%.2f\n",fahrenheit); printf("%.2f\n",fahrenheit1); printf("%.2f\n",fahrenheit2); printf("%.2f\n",fahrenheit3); printf("%.2f",fahrenheit4); return 0; }
When the above code is executed, it produces the following result
Tempareture in fahrenheit: 32.00 41.00 122.00 131.00 212.00
Convert Celsius into Fahrenheit – Entered by user
Program 2
In this program, the user declares a double variable as a parameter for Celsius in the user-defined function. When the user runs the program (calling the function), the program is asked for the value for Celsius and stores the given value in the variable Celsius as an argument for the function.
Finally, the Fahrenheit value is calculated using scientific equations and displayed on the screen.
// C program to convert celsius into fahrenheit using function //Entered by user #include <stdio.h> float convertCelsToFahr(float c) { return ((c*9.0/5.0)+32.0); } int main() { // declaring variables float celsius,fahrenheit; //ask input rom user printf("Enter tempareture in celsius :"); scanf("%f",&celsius);//read the input //Convert celsius to fahrenheit fahrenheit=convertCelsToFahr(celsius); printf("Tempareture in fahrenheit:\n"); printf("%.2f Celsius= %.2f Fahrenheit ",celsius,fahrenheit); return 0; }
When the above code is executed, it produces the following result
Enter temperature in celsius:90.00 Tempareture in fahrenheit: 90.00 Celsius= 194.00 Fahrenheit
