In this tutorial, we will discuss the concept of “Convert Fahrenheit to Celsius: JavaScript function“
In this post, we will learn how to write a program to convert Fahrenheit into Celsius using the JavaScript programming language function with an Example program.
Temperature and conversion
Generally, we know three types of temperature units Fahrenheit, Celsius, and Kelvin. In this article, we are discussing how to convert temperature units Fahrenheit into Celsius. Fahrenheit and Celsius are the measuring units in degrees as 0F and 0C respectively.
Scientific equation Celsius = (Fahrenheit-32)*9/5
In this program, the user declares a variable as a parameter for Fahrenheit(f) in the user-defined function. When the user calls the function, the Fahrenheit value passes to the function as an argument through the variable.
Finally, the Celsius value is calculated using a user-defined function and displayed on the screen.
Program 1
//Program to Convert Fahrenheit to Celsius function fahreToCels(f){ return (fahrenheit-32)*5/9; } const fahrenheit=55; var result=fahreToCels(fahrenheit) //Display the result console.log(`${fahrenheit} degrees Fahrenheit is equal to ${result} degrees Celsius.` );
When the above code is executed, it produces the following result
55 degrees Fahrenheit is equal to 12.777777777777779 degrees Celsius.
In this program, the user declares a variable as a parameter for Fahrenheit in the user-defined function. When we call the function, the user is asked to enter a value of Fahrenheit value and the Entered value passes to the function as an argument through the variable.
Finally, the Celsius value is calculated using a user-defined function and displayed on the screen.
Program 2
//Program to Convert Fahrenheit to Celsius function fahreToCels(f){ return (fahrenheit-32)*5/9; } const fahrenheit=prompt("Enter a Fahrenheit value: "); var result=fahreToCels(fahrenheit) //Display the result console.log(`${fahrenheit} degrees Fahrenheit is equal to ${result} degrees Celsius.` );
When the above code is executed, it produces the following result
Enter a Fahrenheit value: 212 212 degrees Fahrenheit is equal to 100 degrees Celsius.
