In this tutorial, we will discuss the concept of the Python program to convert Celsius to Fahrenheit using the function
In this post, we will learn how to write a program to convert Celsius into Fahrenheit using the function in Python programming language with an Example program.
Temperature and conversion
Generally, We have known three types of temperature units Fahrenheit, Celsius, and Kelvin. In this article, we are discussing how to convert temperature units Celsius into Fahrenheit. Fahrenheit and Celsius are the measuring units in degrees as 0F and 0C respectively.
scientific equation Fahrenheit= Celsius*9/5+32
In this program, the user declares a double variable as a parameter for Celsius in the user-defined function. When the user calls the function, the Celsius value passes to the function as an argument.
Finally, the Fahrenheit value is calculated and displayed on the screen using the function in Python programming language.
Program 1
# Python program to convert temperature in Celsius to Fahrenheit #uaing function def convertCelsToFahre(c):#user defined function #Calculate Temperature in Fahrenheit f=(c*1.8)+32 return f celsius=75 #Calling the function fahrenheit=convertCelsToFahre(celsius) print('%0.1f degree Celsius is equal to %0.1f degrees Fahrenheit ' %(celsius, fahrenheit))
When the above code is executed, it produces the following result
75.0 degree Celsius is equal to 167.0 degrees Fahrenheit
Program 2
In this program, the user declares a double variable as a parameter for Celsius in the user-defined function. When the user runs the program (calling the function), the program is asked for the value for Celsius and stores the given value in the variable Celsius for an argument in the function.
Finally, the Fahrenheit value is calculated using scientific equations and displayed on the screen
# Python program to convert temperature in Celsius to Fahrenheit #uaing function with user input def convertCelsToFahre(c):#user defined function #Calculate temperature Fahrenheit f=(c*1.8)+32 return f celsius=float(input("Enter temperature in Celsius ")) #Calling the finction fahrenheit=convertCelsToFahre(celsius) print('%0.1f degree Celsius is equal to %0.1f degrees Fahrenheit ' %(celsius, fahrenheit))
When the above code is executed, it produces the following result
Enter temperature in Celsius 100.00
100.0 degree Celsius is equal to 212.0 degrees Fahrenheit
