Generally, we know three types of temperature units Fahrenheit, Celsius, and Kelvin. In this article, we are discussing how to convert temperature units Fahrenheit into Celsius. Fahrenheit and Celsius are the measuring units in degrees as ⁰F and ⁰C  respectively.

Program to convert Fahrenheit into Celsius

Convert Fahrenheit into Celsius using the function

In this program, the user declares a double variable as a parameter for Fahrenheit in the user-defined function. When the user calls the function, the Fahrenheit value passes to the function as an argument.
Finally, the Celsius value is calculated using a user-defined function and displayed on the screen.

Program 1

return ($fahrenheit-32) *5/9;

echo("The temperature in Celsius is: ");

When the above code is executed, it produces the following result

The temperature in Fahrenheit is: 194

Convert Fahrenheit into Celsius – via variable

In this program, the user declares a double variable as a parameter for Fahrenheit in the user-defined function. When the user calls the function, the Fahrenheit value passes to the function as an argument through the variable.
Finally, the Celsius value is calculated using a user-defined function and displayed on the screen.

When the above code is executed, it produces the following result

Convert Fahrenheit into Celsius – Entered by the user

In this program, the user declares a double variable as a parameter for Fahrenheit in the user-defined function. When the user runs the program (calling the function), the program is asked for the value for Fahrenheit and stores the given value in the variable Fahrenheit as an argument for the function.
Finally, the Celsius value is calculated using scientific equations and displayed on the screen.
