Fahrenheit into Celsius with function | C#
Fahrenheit into Celsius with function | C#
In this tutorial, we will discuss the concept of “Fahrenheit into Celsius with function | C#”
In this post, we will learn how to write a program to convert Fahrenheit into Celsius using the function in C# programming language with an Example program.
Temperature and conversion
Generally, We have known three types of temperature units Fahrenh, Celsius, and Kelvin. In this article, we are discussing how to convert temperature units Fahrenheit into Celsius. Fahrenhe and Celsius are the measuring units in degrees as 0F and 0C respectively.
Scientific equation Celsius = (Fahrenheit-32)*9/5
Program to convert Fahrenheit into Celsius
Convert Fahrenheit into Celsius using the function
In this program, the user declares a double variable as a parameter for Fahrenh in the user-defined function. When the user calls the function, the Fahrenh value passes to the function as an argument.
Finally, the Celsius value is calculated using a user-defined function and displayed on the screen.
Program 1
// C# program to convert Fahrenheit to Celsius //using function using System; namespace Temperature { public class TempFahreToCels { public static void Main(string[] args) { double celsius=fahrenheitTocelsius(210.10); double celsius1=fahrenheitTocelsius(212); double celsius2=fahrenheitTocelsius(32); Console.WriteLine ("The temperature in Celsius: "+celsius); Console.WriteLine ("The temperature in Celsius: "+celsius1); Console.WriteLine ("The temperature in Celsius: "+celsius2); Console.ReadLine(); } private static double fahrenheitTocelsius(double fahrenheit) { return (((fahrenheit-32)*5)/9); } } }
When the above code is executed, it produces the following result
The temperature in Celsius: 98.9444444444444
The temperature in Celsius: 100
The temperature in Celsius: 0
Convert Fahrenheit into Celsius – Entered by the user
In this program, the user declares a double variable as a parameter for Fahrenh in the user-defined function. When the user runs the program (calling the function), the program is asked for the value for Fahrenh and stores the given value in the variable Fahrenheit as an argument for the function.
Finally, the Celsius value is calculated using scientific equations and displayed on the screen.
Program 2
// C# program to convert Fahrenheit to Celsius //using function using System; namespace Temperature { public class TempFahreToCels { public static void Main(string[] args) { Console.WriteLine ("Enter temperature in Fahrenheit: "); double fahrenheit=Convert.ToDouble(Console.ReadLine()); double celsius=fahrenheitToCelsius(fahrenheit); Console.WriteLine ("The temperature in Celsius: "+celsius); Console.ReadLine(); } private static double fahrenheitToCelsius(double fahrenheit) { return ((fahrenheit-32)*5/9); } } }
When the above code is executed, it produces the following result
Enter temperature in Fahrenheit: 212.00
The temperature in Celsius: 100
