C# program to convert Celsius to Fahrenheit

C# program to convert Celsius to Fahrenheit

In this tutorial, we will discuss the concept of the C# program to convert Celsius to Fahrenheit

In this post, we will learn how to write a program to convert Celsius into Fahrenheit using the scientific equations in C# programming language with an Example program.

Temperature and conversion

Conversion equation

Generally, We have known three types of temperature units Fahrenheit, Celsius, and Kelvin. In this article, we are discussing how to convert temperature units Celsius into Fahrenheit. Fahrenheit and Celsius are the measuring units in degrees as 0F and 0C  respectively.

Scientific equation Fahrenheit= Celsius*9/5+32

Code to Convert Celsius into Fahrenheit

Convert Celsius into Fahrenheit

In this program, the user declares and initializes a double variable Celsius as 37.0. It will be converted into Fahrenheit, by the scientific equation using the C# programming language.

Program 1

// C# program to convert Celsius to Fahrenheit
using System;
namespace temperature
{
public class CtoF
{
    public static void Main(string[] args)
    {
        double celsius,fahrenheit;
        celsius=37.00;
        fahrenheit=(1.8*celsius)+32;
        Console.WriteLine ("The temperature in Fahrenheit is: "+fahrenheit);
        Console.ReadKey();
    }
}
}

When the above code is executed, it produces the following result

The temperature in Fahrenheit is: 98.6

Convert Celsius into Fahrenheit – Entered by the user

In this program, the user declares the variable as Double for Celsius and Fahrenheit, then the user is asked to enter a double value to Celsius. It will be converted to Fahrenheit, by the scientific equation using the C# programming language

Program 2

// C# program to convert Celsius to Fahrenheit
//Ask input from user
using System;
namespace temperature
{
public class CtoF
{
    public static void Main(string[] args)
    {
        double celsius,fahrenheit;
        Console.WriteLine ("Enter temperature in Celsius: ");
        celsius=Convert.ToDouble(Console.ReadLine());
        fahrenheit=(1.8*celsius)+32;
        Console.WriteLine ("The temperature in fahrenheit: "+fahrenheit);
        Console.ReadKey();
    }
}
}

When the above code is executed, it produces the following result

Enter temperature in Celsius:
25
The temperature in Fahrenheit: 77
